Kay Phillips

Kay Phillips, RN, MT, TFT,dx, graduated from nursing school in 1979 and has worked in various traditional health care areas including Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery and Emergency medicine. She is a Trauma Nurse Specialist and was Chief Flight nurse for an Air ambulance service as well as an Emergency Room Nurse. Kay left traditional medicine 6 years ago to explore and learn natural healing. This quest has been an ongoing process that continues to grow and expand every year. Kay has studied and applies the following techniques with her clients at New Horizons; Massage Therapy, Stone Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, St. Johns Neuromuscular Therapy. Homeopathic training with the British School of Homeopathy, Devon England, Zone Therapy. Dr. Charles Ersdal MD, Muscle Energy, Mechanical Link, MyoSkeletal Alignment Technique, Strain/Counter Strain, Medical Herbology Dr. Richard Schulze N.D, M.H. She is a second degree Reiki practitioner and practices Thought Field Therapy diagnostic treatment of toxins as taught by Dr. Roger Callahan Ph.D & Dr. Stephen Daniel Ph.D. On a personal note Kay lives in Quincy, IL with her 3 teenage daughters. She enjoys traveling, reading and studying astrology in her spare time. She believes in enhancing peoples quality of life on a Natural level and strives to practice this every day.

Joel Wingerter

Joel is a Quincy native, CZT, TFT, dx, who started his quest for knowledge of Natural Healing after a life threatening illness in 1974. Joining others at Mt. Shasta in Oregon he realized his love for nature and healing the body and mind by natural methods. This journey began shortly after this time, with a move to Southern California into a Spiritual Healing Community where he explored gardening, whole foods, and natural healing. He met and began his studies with Dr. John Christopher in 1975, obtaining a wealth of knowledge from this brilliant Master Herbalist.

Joel, his wife, and children returned to the Midwest in 1982 to be near their families.

In 1990 he became a certified EMT and shortly after, began his study of Zone Therapy with the late Dr.Charles Ersdal M.D.,Khristenson, Norway. After becoming Certified in Zone Therapy he began his professional practice in Quincy. In 1994 he met Kay Phillips and they began their study of Natural Healing Methods together, joining their practices in 1996, becoming New Horizons, Alternative Health Support Services.

Joel has studied and applies the following techniques with his clients at New Horizons; CranioSacral Therapy, St. Johns Neuromuscular Therapy, Zone Therapy, (Dr. Charles Ersdal MD), Muscle Energy, Mechanical Link, MyoSkeletal Alignment Technique, Strain/Counter Strain, Medical Herbology (Dr. Richard Schulze ND, M.H). He is a second degree Reiki practitioner and practices Thought Field Therapy diagnostic level as taught by Dr. Roger Callahan Ph.D. Nutrition & Herbs (Lilly Johansson of Sweden).

Since that time Joel has devoted his life and practice to learning the most effective and simple techniques of Natural Healing. He loves teaching others what he has learned and looks forward to continued success in his work.

Joel enjoys Backpacking, Biking, Traveling and Exploring, he also spends time with his children and is learning to play the Native American Flute and Hand Drums.
